Cheap but poor quality (get what you pay for). If you're using cheap earphones you likely won't notice a difference, but this won't power high quality earphones (no base response on mine and sound was a bit different).

I had an issue with my computer's microphone and this USB sound card solved the issue. Plugging in the headphone to this sound card did result in things sounding pretty tinny and low quality, but I use high quality headphones so I noticed the difference. Doubt it would be as obvious if you have headphones that don't have high quality sound. I solved that issue by plugging my headphone into my computer's audio jack and the microphone into the USD sound card. Microphone sound is clear and filters out background noise. Really worth it for its price.

Cheap and affordable soundcard for a quick option. Doesn't supply enough power for good quality headphones. Tried with M40x headphones and there is a very noticeable drop in quality. Microphone quality is decent and usable.

Look, I wasn't expecting much for $5. This will work with tiny headphones just fine, ones that don't have a large membrane in them, but for any large headphones that require more power to drive them, this is useless. No bass response on my AKG k240 headphones which is what i bought it for.
