A great buy
This far exceeded my expectations. It was easy to use - changing from one tool to another was hassle-free. I definitely recommend using the strap. The only fault I could find was that the manual wasn't clearly printed. It was a bit blurry and hard to read. Apart from that, it's a great buy!

Badly made and not user friendly.
Very very difficult to start. It practically takes two people to start it. One to pull the cord and one to hold onto the appliance. The choke mechanism is “ON” when the marking says “Off” and is actually “OFF” when the mechanism is “ON”. This was done when the air filter cap was moulded at the factory. Don’t begin to understand how that happened. The strap is way too short for practical use and I’m only 180cms tall. The make up of the Start Stop slide button is far too flimsy and tends to slide to the “off” position whilst trying to start the motor. It does have a powerful motor but desperately needs a decompression switch so the cord pulls easier. The overall weight is well on the heavy side.

Very low quality and hedge trimmer is useless
Disappointed with it firstly the hedge trimmer is useless and cannot cut through butter and it is so heavy you would need to be a giant to use it comfortably. It's also not easy to line up the locking holes and seat properly and the chain on the saw is of really low quality and would need to be replaced with a good quality chain. Overall I'm very disappointed and have gone out and purchased all electric gear from makita... poor man buys twice heh.
