Stylish, functional and easy to use.
Bought this cute jug for my mother who is 95 and has arthritis in both hands. She finds it a lot easier to lift this jug because it is smaller than most electric jugs. My mother also has low vision, so now she can see how much water she has because of the see-through glass compartment. Easy to carry, easy to turn the switches on and off, lid works well. You really don't need the kettle in the bigger sizes, this carries quite a large amount of water but its easier to handle. Importantly has very little plastic that can contact the water - with a little bit more ingenuity the design and manufacture could eliminate what remains. Seems OK so far. Value for money.
Have bought several cheap kettles which proved to be uncomfortable, unreliable and inefficient. The BKE395 is the best kettle for the 1 or 2 cups and it boils the fastest when compared to the cheaper kettles. I hope my glowing report on this kettle will still be there in one or two years time.
