Tefal FV4042 Ultraglide Iron
This is the first Tefal product I have ever owned and I've only been using it for a few months. The iron is lightweight, glides effortlessly over any material surface (so far), has great steam shot and the dials are easy to understand and operate. I have had the occasional water drip onto the clothes during the steam shot function, but it's rare and random and was possibly just due to the "breaking in" period for the iron. The extra large water filler hole is great, however I've noticed that due to the high level of steam produced (when steam ironing is selected) that the tank needs refilling more than any other iron I've owned. I don't know if this is due to a smaller tank size or the higher steam output. Also the cord is quite short and could do with an extra meter or so in length. Overall, I'd probably buy this iron again. It's good value for money.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Stay away
Didn't like this iron from day one, at first I thought it'd just take some time to get used to, but few months later nothing's changed. Lightweight with great features
It is so easy to use -- its light weight is a great advantage- steams exceedingly well - been using irons for over 60 years and this is the best by far. I suppose the fact that I have a bit of arthritis was a factor. I used a Tefal iron at my daughters recently, and as my iron was on its last legs and heavy, I purchased a Tefal FV402 straight away .It has made my life so much better. This iron glides beautifully on its special sole plate. It has a wonderfully powerful shot of steam and the temperature control is easy to use and understand. I haven’t used it as a garment steamer yet but with its powerful steam capacity, I’m sure it would do the job perfectly. Fantastic little iron
