Almost lives up to Motorola resurgence
Motorola have always made interesting phones. I remember my first Motorola which could operate on four AAA batteries if the phone's battery ran out. Then Razr was a cool phone. They seemed to lost their way a bit until they gave us Moto G range. I got first generation Falcon, still have it. Then for family I have bought other models including Peregrine, Thea, Osprey and now Cedric. This phone works as it should with 16GB storage, approximately 10GB is available to user. 2GB ram makes the phone run smoothly although other 1GB models have been decent too. This phone has a 13 megapixel camera which should perform well in most conditions. Expandable storage with micro SD card and removable battery. The only negative is that it doesn't have gorilla glass, my screen has some scratches, this is unknown with gorilla glass. The case is a fingerprint magnet, I always use a gel case so not a problem. Battery life depends on usage and some tweaks, for me it lasts 1.5 to 2 days; this is easily comparable to the other Motorolas. My phone has Andorid 8; I will keep this until I feel the need to swap to LineageOS; this seems to be among Lineage's favourites so hopefully will be supported for some time. Motorola typically doesn't put junkware on its phones and the additional features they have given are useful, such as shake for flashlight and 3-finger-tap for screenshots. Good value for money.
This is my first smartphone, (being an oldie). It's early days, but I am pleased with it. It feels well made, I am still struggling a bit to find my way with it, but am finding texting easier than expected.
