Very Nice, OEM Compatible Replacement Bulb, Noticeable Brightness & Distance Upgrade - Not Cheap Anywhere!
Did a lot of research on D4S bulbs to replace the older, dim, xenon bulbs in my Toyota Venza. I am VERY HAPPY to report about a 75% increase in brightness and distance over my previous low-beam bulbs. Although the package states "up to 200% increase", my opinion is that this claim is probably based on a comparison to the worst bulbs you can find in the market, which you probably don't currently have in your vehicle. When you first turn these on they will be somewhat blue and dim. After about 5 seconds they warm up to a very bright "off-white" (no blue tint at all). These are painfully expensive to buy, but if you shop around a good deal is about $139 USD for a pair. Installing them is not recommended to be done by consumers, but if you do the video research and pay attention to "don'ts" it is not that hard. Very important installation info:
- Have car inignition off & headlight switch off before beginning!!
- Do not touch any part of the new bulb other than the silver metal base, while installing
- Do not bang, scrap or rub the bulb as you put it in the socket, it goes in with base out, and use a flashlight to align the square tab on the black bulb collar with the square notch in the receptacle (holder), BEFORE you begin insertion!
