Could be better.
Very basic controller. Does the job and a good option if you just want a cheap upgrade from a crusty old mercury thermostat, but theres a few things which are annoying and could easily be improved. Like the fact it doesnt show you what the set temperature is when you turn it on, doesnt light the backlight when you turn it off, the loud clicking noises it makes when it activates/deactiveates the heating mechanism, etc.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Brivis Thermostat for conventional heating systems.
The Brivis thermostat was purchased to replace a thermostat that had ceased to work correctly. When it arrived I was pleasantly surprised at the quality and its appearance. The unit was very easy to fit and when installed it worked very well. Where it's installed it is quite hard to see as the area is very dull so the inbuilt lighting is very welcome. Clear and easy to read and operate
The unit is clear, simple and easy to use and of good quality in term of construction. However its relay is noisy as it switches on and off. There seems that there is not enough hysteresis applied - maybe its applicable to some units. This results in the heater switching on and off too much at the setpoint temperature.
