Living with his Aunt Polly (Kristine Kaufman, Town Without Pity), Tom Sawyer is a boy in search of something more to occupy his time. Finding friendship in the carefree and homeless Huck Finn, together they enjoy a pastime of escapism and leisurely pursuits. But when the boys witness a murder in the graveyard one moonlit night they flee to a nearby Island and decide to make a pact never to tell anyone about the incident. A great movie for 6-12 year olds!
Mark Twain the celebrated atheist and author was an inimitable genius whose fantastic books should be made compulsory reading for all youngsters everywhere; particularly "The Adventures of Tom Sawyer" and "The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn". But these new-look celluloid versions of Tom and Huck still have enough to keep 6-12 year olds of both genders thoroughly entertained by this effort. A movie to fully entertain such a demographic.
