Construction quality is excellent, featuring a thick and heavy circuit board with plenty of copper and good quality, overrated components; the 105 degree 100v low ESR capacitors used for smoothing are welcome overkill where lesser caps would have easily sufficed. These are the parts most likely to fail, which shows consideration by the designers for making a rugged device that will be reliable in the long term. It performs as advertised and has comprehensive protection features which make it essentially un-killable. When the output current is exceeded, whether by overload or short circuit, it simply cuts out, when the fault is rectified, eg volume turned down or short removed it springs straight back into action. A note on the power rating: It's actually rated at 380WRMS@0.1%THD, the 500WRMS figure is for 10%THD, so it should be viewed as 380W Continuous/500W Peak; people claiming it's not performing to spec haven't taken this into account. The amp chip in this module can actually take higher supply voltages than the stated +-65V, at +-72V it'll put out the FULL Stated 500WRMS@0.1%THD into a 4 ohm load, I've also seen it stated that the maximum supply voltage can be as high as +-80V. At higher supply voltages not only does the power go up, but for the same power the distortion is lowered by an order of magnitude, from 0.1%-0.01%THD. This is due to decreased clipping facilitated by the increased headroom higher voltages provide. It has comprehensive Over-Current, Over-voltage and DC(short circuit)-Protection, so if the supply voltage is excessive it will simply turn off until the voltage issue is rectified, punintended :) Conclusion: This is a great Class-D 'digital' amplifier which will give even quality Class-AB amps a run for their money, judging by their distortion figures and extensive listening tests, and this coming from an audiophile who has built a great variety of speakers and amplifiers over two decades and can clearly hear the difference between 0.1%/0.01% distortion! I HIGHLY recommend this amplifier module; It's ridiculously cheap, puts Huge Power in a Tiny package, and the quality components used, as-well as the excellent build quality make this a MUST BUY for someone who wants a No-Compromise Powerful Amplifier!Read full review

Crazy little amplifier. Couldn't quite get 500 Watts at 65V but for it's size and cost, this is one amazing amp panel.
