I find it touch sensitive which is good but can cause work loss if finger touches cancel mistakenly. I found out i can't download or save Microsoft word or music from other places except iTunes. It also doesn't connect to other Bluetooth devices I guess it'll only connect to a bluetooth that's on an iPhone or iPad cos I tried connecting with my blackberry but it wouldn't pair. On the whole it's still ok, I'm yet to get a hold of all it's features and how best to use them. But so far so good.
Some great additions which make this a lot more enjoyable than my old 3rd Generation. Front & Back cameras; pseudo-multi-tasking; voice control. I would've loved a GPS but that's just me being too tight to buy an iPhone. ;-) The user interface is still not as flexible as the widget system with android, but it's simple and easy to use.
Previously owned a Cowon S9 16GB as an anti-Apple purchase... but with the growing compatibilities for Apple products (especially the iPod) I gave in and went for this. Although the battery and audio quality don't quite match up to the Cowon players, the Touch easily makes up for it in its ease of use, apps, HD camera (a great backup for when my actual camera runs out of charge!), and overall design. In summary, a great device with great potential for simplifying every day tasks and entertainment... not just listening to music!
It is a great touch device. Screen is excellent in response. This Ipod is great for watching movies, browsing on the internet. Most of all, some of the Apps I installed helped me to prepare for a few exams while travelling. I could also read books, have access to the internet via WiFi in coffee shops, etc. E-mail App is also great. The only bad thing about it is a battery life. It is terrible. If you only listen to music, and NOT using the screen and WiFi at all, then you could stretch it for a few days, otherwise you would need to recharge the battery even twice or three times a day. Nonetheless, I am very pleased with the Ipod touch.
I bought this because I'd had a 2nd generation iPod Touch for many years and sadly hadn't been able to take advantage of the last two versions of the iOS operating system it uses. This then led to me having to delete some of my apps because they were being updated to run only with the latest iOS. Because I jumped two generations I was amazed by the excellence of this latest product. The resolution of the display is mind-blowing and crystal-clear. You can definitely notice the difference between this and my old iPod. It's even better when viewing album art and videos (you can even run HD videos on it!). I absolutely love it! In addition to this, you can take advantage of all the latest features of iOS5 and an onboard photo/video camera, which is also HD-quality. The only failing is that if you're like me and use the iPod a lot every day then you'll find you have to recharge it every day. But as I sync it to my PC every evening then this isn't a problem.Read full review
I've always had a lot of music and was finding that most of it was from itunes but had no mp3 that would recognise my music. I decided that it was best to invest in an ipod and here I am. It is a great product especially with the camera because it means that you can take photographs with ease and the resolution is good too. Basically the 4th gen ipod touch is more like a phone than ever, it even has a way for you to contact other ipod touch 4th gen users with a program called 'Facetime'. I havent used it yet, but I'm always willing to try something new. I love the lightness of it and that its not bulky and heavy in my pocket, it makes it easier to run with too. Depending on how many apps you have running at one time will also effect the battery life, but its easy to close them once finished. I would definately recommend this to any apple user because its a great product and I see no problems with it at all. Get this ipod.Read full review
This latest model of ipod touch, is the best existing option for the demanding gadget-man... Enough space for music, photos and apps of course (if you would like to have too much music though, you are going to need the 64gb model). The display is fantastic, the speed of the processor as it should be, the battery though is not one of the advantages, as it drops fairly quick when you are using the device over a wi-fi network for browsing the web, or for gaming purposes. But I must say that if you use the device for music only and have the wifi turned off you may experience a 2 straight playing-music days without having a problem.. Closing, I really have to say that the device, is as said, the iphone, without the phone (i will also add and the gps), Other than that it's a great portable device, which can help to browse the internet, download useful apps, listen to your music, watch movies and videos online and offline, or even communicate with the front-facing camera with, facetime, or skype (I have used the second and it works like a charm). Overall a great device, and great value.Read full review
This is an excellent piece of kit, I haven't bought an Apple product (i.e not an iPhone, iPod, iPad, etc ..)and was very impressed with the features this prodcut offered. I've always believed that Apple products were great although over-priced, but having the need to buy a music player which could deliver more than just the music feature, the iPod was the obvious choice. When doing my background on this 4rth generation series, I found out that it had much more features than its previous predecessors and was almost comparable to the iPhone 4. Setting up of this device was almost a cake walk and all you need to have it the product along with the latest iTunes software (which by the way can be downloaded for free from the Apple website). As for the new features, the dual cameras were a nice addition, though they won't be winning me any photography awards, they are more than acceptable, particularly the HD video camera. The screen display is unbelievably sharp (all thanks to the new 'retina screen' technology in it), better than I've seen on any portable device and is beautifully sharp and text is a dream to read. Ok, some will wonder why it has no in-plane switching (IPS) bearing in mind that the iPhone 4 does. IPS for those who don't know means you can view the screen at at extreme angles. But why would you on this device? I can still view it at extreme angles if I wish to. The colour may shift to a blue hue, but I only notice that when looking at the screen from the home button end and tilted at a ridiculous angle. The interface is so slick, so intuitive it has always been a pleasure to use. And it's so much more zippier than its predecessors due to the better CPU and double the RAM too. If you're looking for 'an iPhone 4 without the phone', you'll def wont be disappointed, especially if you're looking for a multimedia player with a ton of great features with a long lasting shelf life, this is for you.Read full review
