I've played Martin's, Taylors and Gibsons and I have to say the brightness is equivalent to your typical Gibson with even more clarity. Great guitar.
Buy it in or from Australia if you can - used. The dealers in Aus aren't allowed to ship to individuals abroad and the prices for new ones outside of Australia are usually much higher. It also seems that Ebony is banned in Australia, so all of the fretboards seem to be rosewood - could be mistaken on that one.
