Without doubt one of John Connolly's best novels. It was the first of the Charlie Parker series, and on my second read in 10 years found it to be the most outstanding of the 16 novels in print. I must be honest in saying that the last two novels have been a little reserved compared to the past, but still interesting to read. I am finding that Louis & Angel are becoming more of the central people in the novels, and demand us to read more ab out them. Looking forward to the next deliberation. ARB June 2018.
