Melts into your palm, feels natural to hold, all round winner.
what a beast of a blade, the handle is so comfortable and just melts into my grip, ive heard people say some blades "feels like an extension of my arm" but that is not the case with this parang, IT IS an extension to my arm, i cannot describe it other than it just feels natural, i haven't tested it out yet but im not concerned, im sure this will be excellent in the scrub, or even as a small axe replacement, cannot wait to go give it a proper test, sharp out of the box and i touched mine up on a strop for that next level edge. my only "con" if you could call it that is my handle has a small patch of rough wood that the makers missed, its about half the size of a 5 cent coin so very small and im going to touch it up myself with some sandpaper, i cant feel the roughness on my hand, only noticed it as i was closely admiring the craftsmanship, there is absolutely no need to touch it up and im sure its not on all of them. just being a bit pedantic i guess since the rest of the knife is so perfect. all in all i would highly recommend not only the parang, but also shopping with the lovely people at survivalsuppliesaustralia, they are pleasant, easy to talk to, and even threw in a free gift, which was a carrabina clip knife/multi tool, very cool.

My new village Parang
This village parang is well balanced fit nicely in my hand and come sharp from the box. There’s nothing to complain about the blade. The sheath is the only item impractical to use. I wish Condor could make a wooden sheath. ( I made one out of balsa wood ) so much easier to use. Please Condor make one out of hard wood.it will be the perfect parang.
