I was hoping this book could shine some light on a subject I'm not familiar with since I didn't have a relationship with my father. I have a 10 year old boy who does spend a lot of time with his but his father also shows some lacking in the ways as a role model because his father lacked even more, and so on it goes. Unfortunately, a man can't change if his emotional intelligence is in short supply whether he had good role models or not. I didn't have a male role model and I seem to know more of what's wrong and what's right. It just took me longer to figure it out. There are some great men out there and I know a couple who also didn't have great male role models. What made them great? Choice? Intelligence? Maybe their mother. This book explains one aspect of male's inadequacies when it comes to relationships but certainly not all of it but it's main directive is for a male to learn how to reach out and be a positive influence and that is always a good thing.Read full review
