About this product

Product Information

Angry Anderson is a man of contradictions. A self-confessed past abuser of drugs and alcohol who has twice been awarded the Australia Day medal for services to the community. Physically, sexually and mentally abused as a child, he broke his family's brutal pattern and became a devoted husband and besotted father of four. One of the most popular, regular guests on Channel 9's Midday Show , he also continues to front the heavy metal band Rose Tattoo, bridging the gap between the generations with ease. The early years with Rose Tattoo are all here with the ugly suicide scenes on stage described in detail. The battles with alcohol, strife with the media and personal anguish contrast with his meeting Lou, his future wife, and becoming a father - an event which is captured in both words and pictures in the book. Beyond the rock 'n' role years Angry starred in stage musicals and on the Midday Show, he found a vehicle for working with street kids and making the community more aware fo the problems and traumas faced by sexually abused children. Throughout, the book continues to trace the family life of Angry and his more recent involvement in therapy for the demons that have been haunting him since childhood. This is not a traditional rock 'n' roll biography. It is instead a personal story which is far more about the inner man than his outer actions.
