This handbook fulfils this need for rapid clinically relevant guidance. It is written by authors with backgrounds in fetal diagnostic ultrasound and in paediatric cardiology who work in the context of a combined secondary and tertiary prenatal, neonatal and cardiac centre. The format for the book has arisen from the authors' experience of teaching medical and other professional groups in order to run an integrated fetal cardiac service based on their tertiary centre but involving in an optimal way the surrounding secondary referral units. The book is structured to allow a presenting fetal cardiac problem to be looked up and an outline approach to be identified including information of value in immediate decision making and counselling.
