A terrific complete volume of the railway series with clearer reproductions of the original artwork.
A high quality volume, too big and heavy for easy bedside reading to a child but a great volume of these wonderful stories together with the newer reproductions of all the wonderful artwork produced for this series. The newer artwork scans, although quite small in the book, show significantly more detail than the reproductions in the small children's editions and are probably closer to original colour being a bit less vibrant but with more gradation in the colours. Having several of the children's versions for bedtime reading, I purchased this particular book as much for my love of the artwork as the stories.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned
