A very compelling book about a NSW State Coroner Derrick Hand. Behind the scenes of some of his investigations which are all very interesting and show how he pieced together all the different puzzles and clues thrown up by suspicious deaths to supply his final decisions. I found it hard to put down and I learnt so much more about the Coroner's office and the science involved with forensics including the workings of the courts and criminal justice system in NSW. I found it very difficult to accept that some criminals would try to harm his family members and I was grateful for Derrick Hand's honesty with this book.
