I bought this book as a curiousity. It's from Penguin and I do like the older books that they keep in print and I had heard about the movie and wished to read the book (as I find books more enjoyable to the movies). I haven't finished it yet simply because it has a peculiar language that is difficult to get through. However the characters are intriguing, the plot makes me want to get back to it even after I've just put it down, and the themes are important to society no matter what the day and age. The language is possibly the best and worst part of the book - it provides a pleasing change to most of the books one reads these days, but on the other hand, exposure to that type of language is minimal to nonexistent and requires a certain devotion to the reading.
I have read this masterpiece years ago and it’s one of those few books that remain with you forever. Dystopian novel by a genius of a writer. Its theme is even more relevant today , this book for me is on par with Orwell’s 1984 .
