As a fan of SATC and after reading Summer and the City, I was expecting the book to relate to the TV series and the movies. It did for the most part however I did find a few inconsistencies, including details about her family, education and first contact with 'the girls'. The book is based around Carrie's senior high school year somewhere in the 1980's and has plenty of drama! The book is well written and the characters never dull. I loved the hint of feminism that pops up throughout the book. I couldn't put down the book and finished it in one afternoon! I have loved both books. The story is easy to follow and very entertaining! Although being able to anticipate the ending... For those who are already followers of SATC it will make sense! For anyone who is a lover of SATC or has only just started getting into it (and wondered what the charters were like before SATC) I highly recommend reading this book!Read full review
