The book - The Celestine Prophecy. I found this book to be of great interest. The most striking aspect of the book was the ability of the writer to create such a wonderful story on which he attached the most sensitive and precious inklings of human body language descriptions and universal social psychological human behaviours practiced by all to a high or lesser extent in everyday social situations. The normal magnetic field surrounding figures that protrude vertically from the earth’s surface, such as Plants, trees, standing walking animals or humans, has been known for a long time now, but in this instance, the writer has interpreted this as a mystical phenomenon with a metaphysical basis instead of a scientific explanation. In general, anything standing on the earth’s surface crust is a conductor of the earth's positive electrical charge. The atmospheric electrical charge is a negative electrical charge. As such if one is the only vertical object at the sand beach it becomes the nearest conductor to the electrical charge of overhead clouds with the consequence of attracting lightning first contact than all other objects in the vicinity. As well, nearby separated objects will each have a magnetic field surrounding them with attraction between their respective magnetic fields which influences the light reflectance propensity which impacts the colour of the aura of the objects be it Rocks, Plants, animals, or humans. The writer made a reference to the exploitative behaviours of parents toward their very young children (Parental love equated to - Interrogation) which has a negative impact on their character dispositions and on their personality when they grow up. This concept is used in this way to justify the writer’s biased argument that best suits the ethics vested in his story. But what he has not brought into play is the necessity for Parents to use tough love to protect their children from viable harm possibilities in their life’s journey. Without being very direct the writer acknowledged the degree of influence that parents have in shaping the personality of their children but neglected to also incorporate the responsibility of their children in refining changing and or remodelling their personality beyond the conditioning they received at home in their childhood period. We are all inhibited by the parental value system from a very young age and are no different in that regard to the “Pavlov Dog experiment” but our conditioning is immensely affected by the conditioning from the education system and from social interactions. One cannot be deemed to be a free individual unless they are aware of the conditioning influences from all aspects of their life. If they are aware of the conditioning influences they become able to self-reflect and apply the capability to think outside the box so to speak. What is also missing from his work is the sense of reality by humans and the idea that human behaviour is governed by abstract realities such as belief in the value of money or religion or political ideology. This issue is very much the most important consideration for the Metaphysical perspective of the subject of this story yet no reference was made to this fact to his story. The idea that Humans in their social interactions are driven by the desire to control others or to dominate them is not the norm but a very small exception in human interactions. I found the concept of “coincidences” not having a probability of low coefficient fascinating to the extreme for two reasons; 1. My late father used to always say, No meeting or a significant event is a coincidence in one’s life. 2. I have had life experiences that are hard to explain outside the bounds of this stand on the subject of “Coincidence” in one’s life. The book has further reinforced my view about life as we know it and an intuitive inkling that there is another reality beyond the physical perceptions that we are conscious of but we as humans are unable to understand it because our senses of reality are limited. I have faith that in the future humans will discover scientific ways to identify this other reality in ways that we will be able to conceptualize and comprehend within the limits of our sensors. The idea that one can be absorbed within the aura of this cosmic energy was interesting as it aroused childhood memories of interesting reflectance. As a young child up to 12 years of age I remember the feeling of being absorbed in the positive tranquil energy in the nearby forests that I use to visit or the wheat field that I walked through before harvesting. It felt like both the Forest energy and my energy were one unity with a most gratifying positive feeling of calmness and acceptance. I experienced the same feeling some 11 years later in the civilian army during training ventures in forests and the Australian countryside. The book incited interest and a drive to read it all within a 24-hour period. Read full review
