I first read this in 1968 and at the time everybody was talking about it. Lent my copy years ago and it was never returned but it's information stayed with me through the years as a way of understanding interaction with others. Finally couldn't be without it any longer and found it on ebay. Like an old friend it has returned to me to help understand where others are coming from ( myself as well of course) in the game of life.

I bought this book after seeing an exert on another site and was intrigued. I'm not really a reader and have very little to do with Psychology but thoroughly enjoyed the read. Games were set up in very short descriptive terms then given in terms of an example. Generally games were given a description on how the game can be unravelled but felt that this was the weakest part of the book. Some of the language seemed like it could be aimed at psychologist rather than the wider public. It acknowledges that good games are harder to discuss since people rarely go for analysis when things are going well. It almost trivialises the solution to people playing manipulative games but I was happy just to read some insights.
