This collection of babies' and toddlers' clothes, both for knitting and sewing, harks back to traditional values and quality with their exquisite embroidery and subtly matching trimmings. Judith Hopkinson has been a children's nanny for 14 years and has designed and made clothes for her charges in traditional styles for which patterns are no longer readily available. The patterns come with many variations in design, embroidery and colourways. They are easy to follow - all the sewing and knitting techniques are explained - and full details are given on the care of the garments. The clothes are varied and include a full layette for a newborn baby, compete with embroidered nestling blanket and romper suits for boys and girls up to two years old.
