IMO it's simply the best trackball made.

I've been using trackballs for some years now. My first was a Logitech Trackman; I think I've had two of them. Then I switched to a Kensington Expert Mouse. I had two of them also. Then I bought this Slimbladel. It scrolls without a wheel, and is self cleaning. I think it is the best of them all.

Slim Blade didn't work...lacks features of prior models

My new SlimBlade trackball was defective...no matter what direction I moved the trackball, the cursor only moved in a narrow vertical direction. The device was useless. Superficially I could not see any damage. I tried the trackball on several different USB ports and on another computer ( all running Windows 10 Pro )...all with the same defective result. I installed the latest Kensington software and again the trackball showed defective response. In addition, the new SlimBlade lacks a scrolling ring ( which was a convenience on prior trackballs from Kensington. I

  • Cure for shaky hands on a light weight mouse...THIS TRACK BALL IS THE BOMB!

First it's a work of art, Secondly, my hands shake, but with this, i just rest my hand on it and roll my palm across the top of it...and THAT is all it takes. I love it!

  • Well designed and good quality

Overall quality is good. At first time, it made strange creaking sounds, especially when scrolling. As if somewhere there is not enough lubrication. But over time, the creaking became quieter and the ball slipped better. I have no experience with other trackballs, so i don't know how it should be.

  • The Slimblade

I had a Kensington Expert Mouse for twenty year's, but decided to take it a step further, with the Slimblade. The laser, the scrolling, it feels so light and accurate in use. I love it.

  • Kensington Slimblade Trackball

Works very well. Be sure to manually install their driver software which allows programming all 4 buttons. I did have some wear to the plastic after 2 years and had to send one back for replacement as button wasn't working consistently after 2 years... But they have a FIVE YEAR warranty and in my case I used it every day. This, and Microsoft's Intellimouse Trackball, are two of my favorites. I like the disc on this model that surrounds the ball; it allows scrolling and is an alternative to the usual thumbwheel. I wish someone would produce one with BOTH horizontal and vertical thumbwheels, though.

  • Great design and functionality.

The reviews on this unit were somewhat mixed, due to the lack of a physical scroll wheel. As a user of the Kensington Expert Trackball for many years, I thought I'd give this one a whirl given the sleek design and different tracking mechanism. Very pleased with the unit, it tracks great and the scrolling function is intuitive. Expect it to be stiff upon receipt (the ball movement) but loosens up soon enough. Also the software for the top buttons work fine. One thing I've found is that Windows (both Windows 10 and 11, haven't checked any prior versions) allows two trackballs at once, basically plug-and-play. After many hours of use my one hand scrolling gets sore, and you can actually setup the opposite hand to scroll in the reverse direction on a per-device (i.e. left trackball scrolls reverse and the right trackball scrolls forward) basis. It involves a simple registry change, search for term "Hardware regedit to reverse scroll wheel direction", and find a result that mentions getting the HID from the Device Manager, and then going into Regedit to change a key within HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM

  • Innovative design - great for dual monitor set up

Excellent design, low profile. This trackball is great for multi monitor setups. Quickly glide from screen to screen. Assign all four buttons for quick editing or gaming shortcuts. As a professional video editor I've found the Kensington trackball to be an essential part of my edit bay. The low profile really helps to keep carpal tunnel symptoms away!

My brother is a quadriplegic with a C5/6 injury to his spinal cord. This track ball is detrimental to his job. He absolutely loves your product.

  • Great Trackball so far, feels solid. I would buy it again. Too soon to know how durable it is.

This is the first fingertip trackball I have used since switching to a trackpad when I switched from desktop to notebook PC's years ago. I am impressed with the quality.
