A great little pedal with big value for its buck. Well crafted put in electronics. Safe and sturdy for protection. Very clear and noticeable. Plenty of variety. Looking for that vintage sound or 80's rock classic tone? This lil baby will help you get that. Want a more atmospheric approach? The MXR Phase 90 can do that to. From sharp fast zapping from something out of a sci-fi movie, to more slow prolonged melodic and rhythmic phasing like The Smashing Pumpkins sound on the likes of Siamese Dream and Melon Chollie and The Infinite Sadness. A great addition to any set up or if you like vintage sound or wanna take an avant-garde approach. I generally enjoy all MXR pedals for quality, simplicity and tone.

MXR Phase 90- it's an icon!
When putting together a pedalboard, this is a "must have", in my humble opinion! I love the fact that they give you a big rubber ring to put around the SPEED knob so you can adjust it with your foot during gigs! I do wish it had a level or "mix" control, as it is a pretty powerful effect and I'd like to use it more subtly sometimes!

The original id simply divine and everything else sounds very pale in comparison, except maybe the Skreddy Pedals Little Miss Sunshine.

Great for solos and getting that early Van Halen sound
I bought this to compare it to my early 70's EHX small stone phaser and found it had that distinct early Van Halen solo sound. It's clean and great for solos. The Small Stone had the vintage warmth that comes from an early pedal but I've yet to decide which I prefer. If you don't have a phaser pedal you can't go wrong having just this one.
