Nearing the digital
Greetings All. With quite a few EOS Bodies about, and lenses in numbers, I purchased this Elan for the reliability one expects from Canon. The features are varied, and easily addressed through the left dial nearest the flash housing, making for natural selection like most more vintage SLR's. The heft of the Polycarbonate hull lends to a stable grasp with the aide of the Pistol grip integrated into the classic. It's LCD is easy to discern, and the viewfinder display is a joy to collect your settings from even in the dimmest of situations. The manual flash does it's calculations, and alters the intensity based on distance like many dedicated varieties. It is definitely the quietest of operators with both the shutter & motor drive silenced to near inaudible levels. Would suggest this camera for anyone already familiar with most of Canon's early digital cameras, as the controls are very nearly the same in form & function. Finely engineered, and rightly featured for most any situation you might need a film camera. Two thumbs up.Verified purchase: Yes

This camera is perfect for people who want to shoot film with all their awesome Canon EF glass. It has the same feel as modern Canon cameras because they got the ergonomic design right the first time. Plus it’s not a camera that’s been hyped by the film hipsters so it’s still affordable.
