This is a great started kit for a good value and I would recommended to anyone who is experimenting and looking for something affordable and of good quality. The microphone records in good quality and the pop filter makes it sound even better. The extension cable is definitely a plus giving you great mobility for the microphone especially if you're using it on the stand. The only issue I had with this product was with the actual software that came with the mic. For some odd reason, my laptop would read all discs execpt the Sonar LE disc but I didn't mind too much because I'm using Sonar X1 anyway. Overall great product at a great value.
I bought this mic for use on my internet radio station. The Samson CO1 makes a great addition to our studio for a guest mic.I like condenser mics because to me,they have a warm sound to them and a guest doesen't have to be right up on the mic.I think the Samson CO1 is a great sounding mic for the money and I rank it up there with the more expensive condensers available.I would reccomend the use of the windscreen made for this mic as well as the shockmount. We have USB connectivity to the internet, therefore I did not buy the CO1U (USB) connection. But our CO1 has a great sound to it Ken Karns NCIRradio
Great mic for the price. Using it for at home vocal recording and it does the job well. The thing I didn't like was the volume was extremely low at first. Turns out it's settings came at 10% full volume so I had to change that before recording but once I changed that, it was amazing. It also records better from the front and doesn't pick up much sound from the back which I love because it acts like a soundproof to some extent. Overall I am fully satisfied with this purchase.
The quality is very good-- it records at a better quality than a Blue Snowball, but not as well as a Blue Yeti. The microphone also came with something rattling inside of it, but that doesn't seem to affect the quality.

I am rather new to broadcasting and audio editing. I have been using a gaming headset for my live online radio show and it sounded like I talked while seated in a metal can. The microphone is extremely easy to set up. The stand and mounts are self explanatory, the USB cables are idiot proof, and the driver installs itself. The only problem is that this microphone will pick up every sound it's that sensitive so it will require a little fine tuning on your part. Find the happy spot for your voice or instrument. I use it with Audacity software, spreaker online radio, and voice-overs. Great rich sound throughout the entire spectrum. Well built, as it has a nice heft to it with a metal casing and although you should use a pop filter the microphone itself either cancels it or I did something right when speaking. Good purchase, great value for what you get in the package.Read full review
