    Great

Got this primarily for the smaller size. I have the Olympus Zuiko 9-18. with adapter, and it works just fine, BUT I wanted this one because it is just as sharp and a bunch smaller. This one fits well in my Mirrorless mover 25i easily, along with my OMD EM1, with 14-40 pro lens and a 40-150 lens, and a Panasonic 20, several extra batteries, AND a GM1 as a back up camera. When I go with only one lens, It is the OM1 and the Panasonic 14-140 on a belt pouch. Can't say enough for these lenses, and the 9-18 fits right in and covers my wide angle needs. This is what M4/3 should be all about. Small, compact, great pictures, and the 9-18 is a great lens. Highly recommended.

Depends what you are looking for

I got this as a much cheaper alternative to the 7-14mm. It turns out that the image quality is about on par with the standard kit lenses. If that's good enough for your needs, this is a really nice super wide angle lens. I ended up buying the 7-14mm after all because I really wanted the better image quality. There is noticeable barrel distortion at 9mm. It's not horrific and some subject matter even hides it but it is present. As an aside, I also have the underwater housing for the E-PL3. While the focus gear for that housing will fit this 9-18mm lens, the lens itself will not fit inside the housing. I don't know if later model housings were built larger but that is something to carefully research and consider if wide angle underwater photos are on your mind.

  • Very versatile wide angle zoom

This wide angle zoom is very small and lightweight, which I appreciate. The barrel is plastic so be careful in handling but that adds to it's lightness. I've found sharpness to be excellent stopped down. Wide open, a bit soft on the edges but always acceptable. For landscape stopped down in good light it's IQ has been very good. It's also a great street photo lens with it's compact size and focal length versatility. I highly recommend this lens particularly if you can find one, maybe slightly used, for a lower price than it's MSRP.

  • Works okay

I am using this with a Micro Four Thirds adapter. Image quality is good, but focus can be a bit slow. It will work for most people, but I would've been happier with a native lens.

  • 9-18 mm in a very small package

Compared to the 4/3 9-18 mm lens, this micro 4/3 9-18 mm is so small. Hard to believe they could put that much wide angel & zoom in such a small package. Incredible engineering!

  • Good wide-angle zoom for micro-4/3

Not really too much to say... if you want a wide angle zoom for micro-4/3 and don't want to pay the price or size/weight penalty for a "pro" level lens, this is the best option. I use it mostly for landscapes while traveling. The lens isn't great in low light, but that should be obvious by looking at the specs. But, for daytime landscapes, it does the job.

  • I like the small size, and ability to use protective filter and lens hood.

I have found this a great pleasure to use and am shooting with it much more than I expected - it brings a fun new perspective. I was concerned that it would have been better to spend a little more and get the similar Panasonic Lumix for the slightly wider field of view, but I have no regrets, and DO like the very small size, ability to put on a protective filter and have a lens hood.

  • Olympus 9-18mm Lens

Just the right lens for the Olympus M10-2 body I have. The range is very nice to have along with my superzoom lens. small and compact. I also use it on my Lumix GM5 micro 4/3 camera.

  • Great lens and very affordable to boot

This is a great little lens. I'm amazed at its sharpness. No, it's not going to equal a really expensive dslr pro lens, but there are other positive trade-offs. Unless you're a pixel peeper or making large prints, you get nice quality images. And its diminutive size makes it a joy to use. It's so small and competent, this lens is on my camera 80% of the time, especially when traveling and shooting landscapes. Plus, buying it like-new, or slightly used from an honest seller on Ebay makes it an excellent, affordable addition for any Olympus micro 4/3 camera. I think these also fit Panasonic but am not sure.

  • Mostly like it because it has great wide angle zoom range and it is small and light

great wide angle zoom for the price. Small and light. If only it could be weather sealed and the lens did not have to be unlocked ervery time used. Takes sharp photos.
