I purchased the Lumix 25mm f/1.4 prime lens for its widest aperture being f1.4. The lens is so sharp even at f1.4. The focal length of 25mm is equivalent of 50mm in full-frame cameras. It is excellent for low light photography and portrait photography. Especially with portrait photography, the background bokeh (OOF)is smooth and creamy. I own Summiluxes for Leica M and Micro Four Thirds cameras as well. This lens performs quite similarly to the other comparable Summiluxes in terms of IQ and color fidelity. Though it is bulkier compared to the other Summiluxes, the size and weight are quite manageable. I do highly recommend it to those who use four thirds cameras. It is so sharp and it is definitely a keeper.
Great lens. Mostly shoot video and it phenomenal. Pictures are sharp too! Never take it off unless I need a zoom. Glad this was my first lens buy. Shallow DOF from that f1.7 creates beautiful bokeh I haven't had before.

I work in a photo office that uses Nikons, Canons, and Panasonics. The small-sensor Panasonic is a joy to shoot with, but it's images are less impressive...until you put this nifty lens on. It really levels the playing field between the different manufactures and makes the small-sensor Panny perform like a more robust photo camera. It's great in low light, and produces tack sharp images with amazing bokeh. Great lens, and one of the best values that Panasonic offers. It's not cheap, but it's not the most expensive either, and the images it makes are work more than they price attached to this 25mm.

Perfect to complement your all purpose zoom. It is very sharp and the bokeh is fantastic. Great for portrait, low-light photography and landscape and video. Using primes also make you a better photographer.

This lens is very sharp! That, combined with an f/1.7 aperture and a very good price, make this lens an excellent value. Also, I am enjoying once again photographing with a wide-aperture prime "normal" lens. That's where I started in photography, and I am enjoying getting back to it.

Portraits, events, street. Perfect focal length and large aperture for it all.

Cheap and cheerful- Excellent nifty fifty (35mm equivalent). Must have fast prime for general purpose photography. I like shooting manual focus lenses but I bought this one to keep up with my 1 year old. Only con is no image stabilization but for the price you shouldn't complain.

Now I usually don’t leave reviews for anything that I purchase but this lense is amazing. Huge jump from the kit lense. Definitely much sharper with better detail and beautiful blur background with the f/1.7. It’s a definitely must have and worth every penny.

Good prime lenses for the money. Images are pretty sharp. Feels somewhat fragile due to its plastic construction so be careful with it.
