This is one of Madonna's better films and although her role is only a supporting one she pulls it off perfectly, thanks in no small part to director Penny Marshall (RIP) of Laverne & Shirley. She directs the film with real heart and brings out great performances from all the cast including Geena Davis, Tom Hanks, Lori Petty, her own daughter Tracey Reiner in a small role and even Rosie O'Donnell. The extras are interesting to watch with behind the scenes featurettes, deleted scenes, Madonna's music video for This Used To Be My Playground and the original documentary on the all-women's baseball league that inspired the film. Highly recommended.
