A very well made portable SSD/Hard Drive case. Accomodates slimline 2.5" drives. Easy to assemble and install the drive. Comes with a short USB connecting cable. Metal case that has has screw mounted plastic ends. Not one of the similarly priced clip together all plastic cases. Much more durable and user friendly. Highly reccomended.

Hard to go wrong with the price. I'm not sure it actually does support UASP as there is nothing on the actual packaging that would suggest this and in performing speed tests on it with an SSD I seem to be capped at around 250MB/s transfer speeds using BlackMagic Design's Disk Speed Test. The PU leather sleeve is super small and it took a bit of finagling to get the enclosure in the pouch without ripping it. Smaller drives may need to use a little foam or rubber bands to fill up the extra space as without it my SSD flops around a little. All up, it's not bad for $15!

There is no need to pay more for a fast, reliable drive enclosure. This interface works superbly with every 2.5" hard drive I have tried - including a couple which had proven troublesome inside two older HDD enclosures I had. There was no hint of overheating during long write operations - tested for 20 minutes. DiskMark64 says 260MB/s using a SanDisk SSD Plus 960GB. UASP means Windows Device Manger lists your hard drive model number appended with "SCSI Disk Device". And I like the way the enclosure goes into sleep mode when "ejected". If money is no object in the pursuit of extreme transfer speeds then you might find an enclosure featuring a USB-C interface that approaches SATA3 performance, but that remains an unusual requirement until the day comes when mechanical drives are rare. In the meantime I've just bought another two of these Simplecom USB 3.1 enclosures.Read full review

Super easy to install and cheaper than the classic pre-closed drives. Quick transfers with this beast. The only downside is the cable...not very flexible and kind of annoying, hence four stars. I use another to connect to computer.
