Babette's Feast is a great story with real characters. The DVD movie by the same name is true to the story. It is a sweet story about a Parisian chef who has to flee France during the 1830 revolution in which her husband and son were killed. A group of secluded orthodox Christians take Babette in and keep her alive. She eventually treats them to a world class dinner as a way to thank them for their kindness.

Great book, excellent condition. I like the feel of the book in my hands, it has a nice weight without being to heavy.
