Author Biography
Latifa Ali was born in Iraq but found sanctuary first in Australia and then in Germany. She grew up living a western life style, but refused a marriage proposal that her mother had approved, so was sent to care for a 'dying' relative in Iraq. Her mother divorced her father and he returned to the homeland, assuming ownership of his daughter and demanding she live according to muslim principles.
