For all those sitting on the fence and wondering whether or not to buy this product, GO AHEAD AND PURCHASE THE ENTIRE SERIES: BIG LOVE The Complete Series 1-5. YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED! ...Well at least not until you come to the end of the series, where you have no more episodes to look forward to watching. BIG LOVE is not only well written with characters perfectly suited to their roles, but, the character portrayals and actions are diverse, consistent, and in depth. They will make you laugh and cry; get angry, celebrate; and, when you start off wanting to just watch one episode to past the time, you find yourself watching all 3-4 on the disc because you are thoroughly engaged... hanging on the edge of your seat in anticipation about what will happen next! Polygamy isn't something with which most of us are familiar, so the subject matter in itself is a little twisted and enticing... But it brings to life what those in that situation face.... And for all those out there who ever considered engaging in plural marriage (be it in thought or in deed), Big Love surely makes you think twice about whether or not you actually have what it takes to literally and figuratively, survive that challenge. I came late into Big Love fandom, but I was so sorry when I heard that the show was cancelled after this, its' fifth season. The show was a window into a world we don't hear about much: polygamist Mormonism. Although there have been the reports about Warren Jeffs' FLDS compound and his arrest as well as the reality series Sister Wives, I see the tale of Bill Henrickson and his three wives and their many children as a much truer picture of polygamous Mormon families in Utah. Henrickson and his wives struggle with the same issues as those of us in monogamous relationships: money, sexual problems, kids, jobs, and sometimes the backbiting of peer groups like the PTA, or even politicians. This final season wraps up things in what I would not call a tidy, happy-ending package, but the characters who are left go on. About the only thing I could have done without is Natalie Maines' rendition of "God Only Knows", the Beach Boys song that served as the theme to Big Love in the first few seasons, but other than that I loved this last season. This was a very tight ensemble, and it showed in their onscreen relationships. There were also some good extras that served as an insight into the making of Big Love, and a gag reel that showed some of the more lighthearted moments during filming. I hope that others will enjoy Big Love as much as I have.Read full review
I havent finished this last season yet but Big Love is my favorite show. Knowing that this is the last season makes me really sad, you really connect with the characters, they chose a great cast and story line also. When I first heard about this show my first thought was "boring" and after watching the first episode I was addicted! Give it a chance! Def for 18 and older, but it doesn't disappoint!
Item received early with the exception of the case being well loved the item was a great value .

Excellent episodes. Well done. Much more relaxing to view on DVD and have control of episodes, especially while self quarantining.
