It's very reasonably priced, it's fast, the print quality, including photos, is good and it has individual ink cartridges, a system that is by far cheaper to run than combined cartridges. A very satisfactory printer for the home and small office, with a number of excellent features.

The Canon software is nowhere near as user friendly as my last Epson printer. My Image Garden is complicated to navigate. The printer often takes a long time to set (or reset?) itself without any feedback to indicate why it is busy making weird noises. Prints take a lot longer than my old Epson, but print quality is good. The reason I didn't buy another Epson is that it took some time to figure out how to convince the Epson to print using generic cartridges. Even then, the Epson refused to work when it decided it needed the overflow tank cleaned. But this would involve sending it to an Epson dealer! Not feasible. You can buy a new one for less. The other backward step with the Canon MG5765 is that the front can't be closed to keep dust out when the tray is loaded with paper. This was a good feature of the Canon MG7760 and iP7260 printers.Read full review

The Canon printer works well and the Canon company provided help in setting up over the phone when I experienced problems. I may need to seek more help from Canon because it does not do duplex printing when told to do so and the instructions that came with it assured me that it does. No problems otherwiise

Canon is a quality product. I have had a few. This one is good but the radio system of connecting the printer to the computer, was not good. I resorted to using my old direct lead and it worked. Pity because having a radio connection makes the unit more flexible. I did contact Canon but they were not very helpful except they could supply a new lead - at a cost. Not good for promotion I would have thought. perhaps a new broom may be in order at the supplier
