Author Biography
A. L. Dawn French the history buff and environmentalist lives in Saint Lucia, in the Caribbean. * She was the Director of the Saint Lucia National Emergency Management Organisation for twenty years and in 2012, as Director NEMO, she became one of the Vice Presidents of the Intergovernmental Coordinating Group for the Tsunami and Other Coastal Hazards Warning System for the Caribbean and Adjacent Regions (ICG/CARIBE EWS). Two years later (2014) she was appointed the Deputy Permanent Secretary in the Office of the Prime Minister. She is also the principal author of the National Emergency Management Plan of Saint Lucia, Antigua, Barbados, Dominica and Haiti. * Her fiction and non-fiction works have been presented at CARIFESTA VII (St Kits), CARIFESTA XI (Suriname) and CARIFESTA XII (Haiti). She is the 2013 Winner of the Saint Lucia National Arts Festival for fiction for her works INVICTUS and INSIDE STORY. * CAREERS received the 2014 Arts Reach Peoples Choice Award for a Non-Fiction Series. *****
