For the price I was expecting a very basic product. Colour me surprised then, because this head safety kit is of appreciable quality and fit. The helmet comes with a fully-adjustable ratcheting six-point webbing, which homes securely and hugs the head beautifully. The earmuffs work well with small engine background noise, making lopping and pruning, whipper-snipping or mowing that bit more comfortable over longer periods. The mesh face shield is plastic-framed wire, and has saved my eye on more than one occasion already. The mounting solution isn't the sturdiest, and I don't particularly trust the raising/lowering mechanism to last a lot of heavy use, but it serves its purpose fully. If you just need a safety solution for backyard work or preuning, you'd do a lot worse than this for the price. Recommended.Read full review

The inner fitting did not connect to the helmet properly. and consequently the helmet did not assemble as it it should have. Try as I might I was unable to assemble the unit and wasted a couple of hours trying. I sought an opinion from a retired engineer and he said that it was defective and an utter waste of time and money. In utter frustration I binned it and good riddance.

If you have a $3 head then this "safety helmet" is for you! As I suspect if you purchase this sort of safety equipment then you value your personal safety. This helmet will not provide you with the protection you seek. It is of poor design, poor quality, uncomfortable and unusable.
