The very first time I heated it the plate cracked about 75mm down one seam. The instructions clearly state not to heat more than 90sec without food on it. I was merely curing the plate like every other one I've ever used. Low heat, plenty of oil, and bang. Broken plate. Maybe I should have just cooked on it without curing, but that just seemed odd.

Cooker and flat plate are awesome, only downside is that you have to buy 3 different attachments to run it off a 4.5kg gas bottle because Coleman make a specific Coleman fitting and you can’t buy anything aftermarket to eliminate the stem that’s used for throw away canisters. Apart from that, beat cooker I’ve ever owned.
