this 80-plus page pamphlet (2013) is a good place to start for those already familiar with terms such as ISP, torrent and other basics (if not one must start with a "networking for dummies" type book) and is a really good recipe book - no filler, minimal explanations and some solid good instructions - that should get you started in the task of cloaking your IP address when surfing. Essential in an age when anyone (not just the NSA or FBI) can ping your location and plant Trojans to steal your medical and financial information. There are probably more technical and detailed books out there, but for those past the "for dummies" stage this is a very good next step.
