Even if I don't like Martha as his assistant, I love the 10th Doctor. If there is one thing that the Doctor has always been able to do, it's outshine those that aren't as good or as knowledgeable as he. What was it about the minister who walked into the church? He was dead for 12 years. Did he really walk in or were the people of the town seeing things?
This would have been an excellent episode, and it should be read that way--as more of a dressed up script than as a novel. It's a quick read, without much depth, and it doesn't really develop the Doctor or Martha the way a more novelistic story might, but it's a nice fun fix for those missing the show.
