A combination How-To book and Cookbook for the person wanting to learn how to do it all for themselves. From shooting an animal to eating it, or planting a garden in a rthern climate to harvesting it, this book will help the modern person prepare for doing for themselves. Canning, curing, smoking or dehydrating, it's in there. Over 400 recipes to help you learn how to make it yourself. My autobiography is at the end of the book. I just finished a complete redo of this book in a different program that seems to have fixed most of the page problems. I added several more recipes, also. Enjoy this book as much as I have enjoyed assembling it. It has over 70 years worth of my recipes and memories in it.
I grew up living in a remote area with no electricity, no phones, no TV. If we didn't grow it or shoot it, we didn't eat. Now I live in a slightly remote area in Alaska. Still no electricity, no phones, no local mail delivery, no FedEx or UPS delivery, regardless of their ads and no TV. I do make it to the grocery store about once a month though.
