This rest bridges the gap between a conventional bipod a shooting off sticks. It's got about 75mm greater height than my fully extended bipod which was always just a bit too low for prone shots in heather. No need to put the backpack under the bipod now. The narrow bipod legs are just right for resting on your knee for crouched shots too. I fitted mine to a Sauer synthetic stock in about 15 mins although I have added a bit of epoxy on the inside to fully brace the nut securing the fixing bolt where it passes through the forestock. Only improvement I would suggest is a pivot to allow a bit of extended horizontal rotation without resetting the feet position. It is much quieter than a spring loaded bipod if that is important to you.
