I did a bit of research on the best reviews on dehydrators before I spent the money on this product but I have to say it was worth it , it’s easy to operate and clean , the two temperature settings make dehydrating abit quicker but I imagine you would still get good results on any of the Excalibur models . The 9 tray is the size of a normal microwave oven , I have put it in another room simply because I don’t have the room in my kitchen to leave it on a worktop , a little low noise from the fan working but nothing bothersome to me and the clear front means you don’t have to keep opening it to check things . All in all I’m very happy with my Excalibur dehydrator and a friend who has one feels the same .

I am on a raw food diet and ordered this dehydrater to have more variation for my menu plans. I did quite some researches which dehydrater might best for me. I decided to go for the most expensive version, because I wanted thar my food turns out perfectly. I am so happy with it, due to the fact that it is easy to use, 2 timers, up to 48 hours and it dehydrates perfectly from the outside to the inside. It isn't dry outside and still humid inside, it dries perfectly. I love it and highly recommend the Excalibur.

Excalibur has a fantastic reputation so that is why I spent the extra money on one of their dehydrators. New digital model is great as I can set the exact temperature and time. This model can be set up to 48hr. So far I have dehydrated soaked raw nuts, which came out lovely and crunchy. I have also made beef jerky which I was also really pleased with. The clear door means I can see inside without removing it whilst it is working. The unit is fairly lightweight. I purchased the 9 tray so it is quite a large kitchen appliance which I will leave set up in my pantry. The dehydrator is quite loud when working so I can't use it in the kitchen overnight as we have a small house so I just leave it working in the walk in pantry with the door shut. I was worried about the cost running it for so long but my research has confirmed it doesn't use much electricity at all. So far I'm very pleased with this dehydrator and think the extra money spent is worth it in the long run.Read full review
