Effective, but over priced.
Initially used it to sharpen up a pair of garden shears. Probably outside the scope for which it was designed, ie. sharpening Felco type pruners. Worked OK but the surface seems to have worn more than expected for a tool of this cost. Have previously and since used a pocket stone and this seems to work equally as well at a much lower cost. I am not sure that the circular honing motion is the right action - dragging back on the sharp edge. I would prefer a one way straight motion across the blade towards the egde, or a straight motion along the edge, which is what I was taught at horticultural school.

Light weight, portable and well made, this multi-purpose tool can be used to sharpen by-pass secateurs, scissors and other blades. I have even used it on my grafting knife for a quick honing in the field.
