This book was compelling and at times painfully honest. I enjoyed it. To be an athlete at that level took super hard work and an obsessive personality, and of course good genetics. She resisted taking performance enhancing drugs even though she knew many she was running against did. One coach even suggested she use them. Bi Polar disorder ran in her family and destroyed her brother and affected Suzy. She went thorough some horrible times getting the wrong medication. After 3 Olympics, and over a decade of hard training, it was over. She didn't win an Olympic medal, but she had the best times in the world two of those years going into the Olympics, won NCAA titles 9 times and was perhaps the best respected and loved athlete in Wisconsin. Her good looks was a major asset. She went in a different direction when her running career was over., She took risks, sky dived and became the second highest rated Escort in Vegas. Many would judge these actions as bad and dangerous. She made outrageous money as an escort and that and the sex was a high. She admitted she always had a strong sexual appetite. The Smoking Gun website found out about her post running activities and exposed her. Through it all she managed to keep her marriage together. She even had the courage to go on TV shows like 20/20 and answer questions about her life.Read full review
