Our FP toploader was only partially emptying and after several attempts at putting a load through, would not empty at all. We bucketed the water out of the bowl then tilted the machine back against the wall and removed the pump just to check there was nothing stuck in it. It all seemed fine. (be careful you will get wet!) Then we tried another load, it didn't empty. We also checked that things were clean up top by removing the bowl. Lots of dirt but no socks or blockages. So we ordered the pump and after we installed it have had no problems. Everything works just fine. Water empties out every time. We also got a lint filter, almost as the same price as the pump! But a lot less junk is going through the pump now.
