Flourishing Spirits - flower of the spirit Xu Jiang's central theme is sunflowers: plants that always align their flowers with the sun  and which, in the eyes of the artist, have become a symbol for an entire generation: that generation,  which, shaped by the coming to terms with historical upheavals, faces the need for reorientation.  In contrast, the works of the artist Shi Hui appear much more delicate. From the beginning she engaged with nature  apart by incorporating soft, flowing forms and plant elements such as into their sculptures  encyclopedias of flora. Both artists intend to reference each other in their joint exhibition  and to reflect on the concept of 'spirit' coined in German philosophy.
