Our toilet is very old and has been leaking for ages. Finally bought one of these Fluidmaster devices and the whole transistion has been brilliant. I do recommend that you get the braided fitting that goes with the product as we found the old copper pipe didn't fit onto the fluidmaster. Should have changed over to this ages ago.

It works, however the plastic thread where the pipe connects on needs a threaded brass adapter because as soon as you tighten up the fitting the plastic thread won't grip & lock. The plastic thread isn't strong enough.
