I bought the Frost by Sutton drill sets in both metric (1-13mm)and imperial (1/16-1/2") at a total cost of around $ 100 for the two sets(i.e. $50 each). At around the same time that I bought these drill sets I also bought the "Made in Australia" Sutton drill sets in both metric and imperial sizes at a total cost of around $200 for the two sets (i.e. $100 each). Both the Made in Australia Sutton drill sets and the Frost by Sutton drill sets made in China to Sutton specs are made of an M2 HSS. I have used a variety of the drills from both Australia and China manufacture for both wood and steel and I can not detect a difference. A machinist or instrument maker might detect some difference but I can not. Buying Australian made is a nice gesture if it only costs a few extra dollars but without a marked difference in performance or quality, for me it is not worth double the cost. So in future I will be buying these Made in China Frost by Sutton drill sets.Read full review
