In my near 60 year of experience in photography I used hundreds of cameras and lenses. From entry level Russian cameras to to Hasselblads, Leicas, Rolleis, Voigtlanders, Konicas, Minoltas, many of the main stream Canikon line but always been a "Leica uber alles" thinker and firm believer of perfected logical simplicity that not too many cameras possess. I have a strong foundation to compare and since I could put my hands on the relatively new Fujifilm products I never looked back or anywhere else and simply can't ask for more. Their products are exactly what I always dreamed about and falling in love instantly with every piece from Fuji, and never a slightest disappointment. The Fujinon 90mm f2 lens is not an exemption. The build quality, appearance, image quality and handling on par with or even better than anything I ever used including Canon L 135mm, Nikkor 135mm, Hasselblad's Zeiss 250mm, Leica 135mm APO, and so on. Weather proofing is a big plus however it makes manual focusing a bit tight, but it's reasonable. and rarely us it anyway. The silence of the fast autofocus with the new dual motor was a surprise. None of the previous models were this quiet. Insanely sharp with great contrast even wide open, beautiful bokeh and color rendering, extreme close-up focusing make it a perfect portrait lens. It's compact and as heavy as supposed to be, and balances very well on my X-t1, even on the x-e2. The Fujinon 90mm f2 paired up with the 56mm f1.2 are all the keys I need to create Vogue cover quality portraits or anything else within the range of a real premium prime portrait lens. Image stabilizer would be helpful but I don't have it in any of my other lenses, a steady hand and monopod makes it up. My dream lens, can't ask for more. Read full review

I do not charge money for my photos, but I wanted a portrait sort of lens and some for landscapes. It is a very high quality image. I have not been able to find someone to take a photo of me. Since it is all metal and has magnets it seems that it should last for decades.

Excellent lens. A bit heavy for a small camera. I’m learning how to focus stack so I can make it sing!

I have tried many many lenses. Canon, Nikon, Rokinon, tamaron,!and this has really made a huge impression. A bit big and a bit heavy it’s well made. No regrets ! Took this baby on a 5,000 road trip and I’m so glad I did. The Grand Canyon with this lens was pretty great.

This is a stunning sharp lens that is even better when used on a camera with IBIS.
